On March 2018 IPCC implemented one of its community initiatives under “Facts on the Ground: Community Projects for Palestinians in East Jerusalem" project supported by the EU. The aim was to design and implement a pathway in Jabal Al-Mukabber, south of Jerusalem serving the general public from children to the elderly and connects between Silwan and Jabal Al-Mukabber. Work included clearing the path of weeds and expanding it to provide more space for movement, rehabilitation of the stairway that is currently damaged, the construction of a retaining wall to protect all users of the public stairway.
Work was carried out by youth volunteers and initiators who participated in the community leadership training workshops held by IPCC, in cooperation with other individuals residing in the area.
