The war in Gaza has profound implications for Palestinians, Israelis, and the broader region, revealing the failure of traditional peace talks and conflict management strategies that rely on the status quo. Efforts to normalize relations without addressing the core conflict between Israel and the Arab world are unlikely to promote regional peace or stability. Joint initiatives in economic, infrastructure, and cultural areas will not succeed without tackling underlying issues.

In July 2024, a group of high-ranking international professionals met in Paris to explore a new approach for Gaza’s future. The group focused on three goals: articulating a peace vision based on shared regional interests, identifying barriers and mapping interests for prosperity, and developing strategies and projects for implementation involving all stakeholders.
