The International Peace and Cooperation Center (IPCC) has played a pivotal role in facilitating the Barta’a Cluster Area Resilience Development Initiative, promoting governance, community development, and collaboration among seven villages in Area C. By working closely with local Palestinian authorities and community representatives, the IPCC has strengthened municipal capacities and enabled the establishment of a joint municipality. The project has empowered communities by fostering capacity-building, gender mainstreaming, and youth participation, creating opportunities for leadership and economic development. Through its facilitation, the IPCC has advanced efforts toward a more equitable, inclusive, and democratic society in the Barta’a region.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the IPCC adapted its strategies to ensure the continuation of project activities, utilizing online platforms, small gatherings, and outdoor initiatives. It supported awareness campaigns, workshops, and community-led projects to address pandemic-related challenges while advancing long-term resilience goals. Women and youth groups, guided by the IPCC, undertook initiatives ranging from educational and vocational training to community beautification and health awareness campaigns. By fostering collaboration, empowerment, and sustainable development, the IPCC has significantly contributed to peacebuilding and cooperation in the region.
