This project funded by UNDEF aimed to tackle the limited participation of Palestinian youth in decision-making processes, specifically in the design and development of urban and rural public spaces in the West Bank. Through capacity-building trainings, young participants were equipped with skills in urban planning, community engagement, and advocacy. Social audits were conducted to identify community needs and challenges, fostering collaboration between youth and local stakeholders. These efforts empowered youth to take an active role in shaping their surroundings, promoting inclusive and sustainable public spaces.

Eleven youth groups were formed, each working on innovative designs for public spaces across the northern, central, and southern West Bank. The project culminated in the development of 11 designs, reflecting the aspirations of local communities. Among these, the three best projects were selected for implementation, serving as tangible examples of youth-led development. By amplifying the voices of young people, the initiative not only enhanced their leadership and technical skills but also contributed to creating vibrant, functional public spaces that align with community needs and values.
