Ministry of Local Government in partnership with UN-Habitat and International Peace and Cooperation Center (IPCC) organized its first workshop for project "Fostering Tenure Security and Resilience of Palestinian Communities through Spatial-Economic Planning Interventions in Area C" funded by the EU.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the local bodies’ of 30 localities in Area C; of which IPCC will plan 5 new localities and will continue the planning work of 25 localities.
The workshop was inaugurated by Eng. Jihad Rabaya’ from MoLG, and Dr. Rami Nasrallah IPCC chairman pointed out the importance of IPCC work in Area C and the positive impact of this tripartite cooperation between MoLG, UN-Habitat and IPCC. Dr. Ahmed Atrash from UN-Habitat explained the project components and it’s important.
Also Eng. Jihan Mitwali from MoLG explained mechanism of work with human rights concept dealt by ministry in planning Area C. Finally Eng. Basel Quttaineh from IPCC presented the current situation of 25 plans and their progress plan to continue work.
