The Urban Design Summer Studio 2015 was successfully conducted by the International Peace and Cooperation Center (IPCC) with the support of the British Consulate General in Jerusalem. This was the fifth Design Studio that IPCC has run over the past six years.
For this design studio, IPCC chose to focus on three locations in East Jerusalem, and another two locations in Area C of the West Bank. IPCC had already initiated or prepared physical plans with the communities in each of these neighbourhoods. The design projects were selected based upon the needs of the community and the existing planning schemes there. The projects varied from the rehabilitation of historical sites and buildings to the design of public, commercial and residential buildings.
